The convener of Save Nigeria Group Pastor Tunde Bakare has asked the Federal Government to take the security of the lives and property of Nigerians very seriously.

He said this on Sunday during a State of the Nation address at the Latter Rain Assembly in Lagos where he is the presiding pastor.

Professor Chukwuka Okonjo, Obi of Ogwashiukwu and NLC Trustee on Saturday 29th October 2016 received the highest civil national award from the Government of Ghana.

The award was conferred on him by President John Dramani Mahama in recognition of his stellar and distinguished contributions to the country’s education system.

Professor Chukwuka Okonjo, father of the two-time former Minister of Finance, Dr. Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala of Nigeria is a renowned Mathematician and Economist who worked for a long time in Ghana as a United Nations staff and later as a consultant to the Ghanaian Government.

A Nigeria that accepted the annulment of June 12, 1993 elections, and was docile enough to go with an Abacha candidacy of being the presidential candidate of all the five political parties of Abacha's time, morphed effortlessly into a washed up society that does no checks and follows blindly their oppressors...!
Nigeria, a country of crass, pathetic citizens, formed by waves of money waving crafty crooks who as soon as they can throw a few illegally acquired money into the assemblage of pressmen and yesmen, simply become their Lord and Master!

"We the people", is just a washed up Cliché that aptly describes the Nigeria that became frenzied with tale after tale of a Buhari who was not taking salaries, or half salary or no salary and finally a Buhari that only took only 10% of his salary or what ever ex dictators are paid!

I put it to you that the poor are poor because the corrupt had stolen the fundamental right to their human existence!

What can we do today to give life back to the lifeless poor in our World of plenty? And what do we do with all the ill-gotten money that are stocked in the World's safe havens? I say to you give it to the poor and see for yourself whether their life will not change for the better.

I remember during electioneering, Prof Yemi Osibajo and others specifically harped on the N16 Trillion debt profile as humongous, promising to make theirs a debt free State!

Again I wonder how Nigerians bought into this change mantra :-

Was it not the same APC in Osun under Aregbesola that generated a debt profile of N300 billion in just 5 years!?

Was it not the APC of Fashola that generated a debt profile of N419 billion in 8 years!?

When Fayose left Ekiti in his first incarnation, he left a surplus of over N10 billion in the treasury!  When Segun Oni left Ekiti as governor, there was a surplus of N8 billion...

When Fayemi left Ekiti, he left a debt of N105 billion for the incoming governor.

Such is their Regular Trademark - Spreading Poverty, Debt, Sorrow, Tears and Blood, Everywhere they go!

Before, the National Assembly agrees to Buhari's call to borrow N11 Trillion, the following must be sought from the Executive and properly negotiated with checks and balances on how to make sure the funds are judiciously spent:

Long time ago, a great Greek philosopher said that it is in the nature of man to hang the small thieves and to elect the great ones into public office. We do that in Uganda, we do that in Kenya, we do that in Tanzania, we do that in Africa. And that is why Africa remains the poorest continent on earth.
