HOPE ALIVE – YES WE CAN! Decoding What the Rich Do That Makes Them Rich — and What the Poor Do Not Do That Keeps Them Poor (Part II) By FA | The Polymath Lecturer

Decoding What the Rich Do That Makes Them Rich — and What the Poor Do Not Do That Keeps Them Poor (Part II)

Opening Address

Distinguished guests, fellow dreamers, builders of destiny, and global citizens,

Today, I bring you a truth that is both simple and profound — a truth that sits at the very foundation of success in life:

The poor largely remain poor because of a Fixed Mindset.

The rich largely become rich because of a Growth Mindset.

This is not an insult. It is not a judgment. It is a principle.

We may not consciously choose which side of the poverty–wealth divide we stand on. Yet every single day, through our habits, reactions, excuses, discipline, and risks, we cast silent votes for the future we will inhabit.

Every thought you entertain.

Every excuse you accept.

Every risk you avoid.

Is a vote cast for your tomorrow.

Understanding the Mindsets

1. The Fixed Mindset

A Fixed Mindset believes that intelligence, talent, and ability are static — predetermined at birth and largely unchangeable.

It says:

“I am not smart enough.”

“I don’t have the gift.”

“That’s just who I am.”

“It’s too late.”

This mindset converts challenges into threats and failure into identity.

2. The Growth Mindset

A Growth Mindset believes intelligence and ability are expandable — like muscles strengthened through disciplined use.

It says:

“I may not know it yet, but I can learn.”

“I am not good at it today, but I will improve.”

“Every master was once a beginner.”

“It is never too late to start becoming who I was meant to be.”

The difference between poverty and prosperity is rarely circumstance alone.

The difference is the story you tell yourself about your circumstances.

The Hard Question

Allow me to ask you what I ask every audience:

Are the reasons you keep repeating —

“I didn’t attend the right school.”

“I’m too old now.”

“I have family responsibilities.”

“The economy is bad.”

“I lack connections.”

— truly the reasons you are where you are?

Or are they comfortable narratives your Fixed Mindset has rehearsed for years?

The Fixed Mindset complains about fundamentals it refused to master.

The Growth Mindset quietly masters those fundamentals — one disciplined day at a time — and reaps the harvest.

The Fame Agidife 24 Laws of Power

(Extracted from Hope Alive – Yes We Can!, Chapter 21)

Today, I share the first four foundational laws — the engine that converts mindset into tangible power, influence, and wealth.

Law 1: Wish

Define clearly the exact form of power you desire.

Be specific.

Write it down.

Visualize it.

Internalize it.

Clarity is the beginning of authority.

Law 2: Learn

Immerse yourself in the knowledge required to become that vision.

If you want to be:

A world-class hairstylist — study the masters.

A lawyer — consume the law.

A doctor — master the science.

An investor — understand markets.

A tech founder — learn systems and innovation.

Absorb your craft until it becomes part of your intellectual DNA.

Law 3: Practice

Knowledge without repetition remains theory.

Deliberately, repeatedly, and sometimes painfully practice until competence becomes instinct.

Practice converts information into skill.

Law 4: Mastery

Mastery converts skill into influence.

Influence converts power into wealth.

This sequence is not optional. It is universal.

Every self-made individual in history has followed this progression — consciously or unconsciously.

The Shortcut Trap vs. The Price of Greatness

Here is where many lose the game:

The Fixed Mindset chases:

Quick money.

Lottery thinking.

Overnight success.

Effortless rewards.

When these fail — as they usually do — blame is assigned to:

The system.

Luck.

Society.

“Wicked people.”

But history teaches us something undeniable:

Every authentic success story was paid for in advance — with sacrifice, discipline, delayed gratification, and discomfort.

The pain of growth is like childbirth.

The struggle of transformation is like metamorphosis.

There is no exception.

The Growth Mindset accepts this price and pays it willingly.

The Fixed Mindset avoids the price and wonders why the reward never arrives.

The Transformation Formula & The Real Gap

When you combine these principles, you get an unbreakable formula for success:

Fixed Mindset shifted to Growth Mindset + Wish + Learn + Practice + Mastery = Explosion.

Apply this formula to any life, in any nation, under almost any circumstance — and ceilings begin to shatter.

Not just for you.

For your family.

For your community.

For your nation.

The Real Gap

The gap between the poor and the rich is not primarily a gap of money.

It is a gap of mindset.

Close the mindset gap — and we begin closing the gap of inequitable economic distribution across humanity.

Final Challenge

Today, I do not merely invite you.

I challenge you.

Stop wishing for a different past.

Start building a future so powerful that your past becomes irrelevant.

God bless you all.
