Delta State born Okiemute Ighorodje, a 25 year old Linguistics & Communications graduate from University of Port Harcourt has won the ninth edition of MTN Project Fame West Africa.
With her victory, Okiemute smiles home with the grand prize of N5 million, a brand new SUV and a recording contract.


Elizabeth emerged the first runner-up, claiming the N3 million prize and a saloon car.

The second runner-up was Kitay, who went home with N2 million and a saloon car.Pere who performed Sam Smith‘s ‘Writing on the Wall’ at the closing gala, came fourth and went home with N2 million.

Dapo took the fifth spot, performing Labrinth‘s “Jealous”. He went home with 1 million naira.
Winner came sixth and went home with N500,000. She performed Adele‘s “Hello” at the closing gala.
Before Project Fame, Okiemute used to have a career in modeling, but she has been following her passion as the lead singer of a band.
She is from a family of six, and the third of four girls. Okiemute credits her journey into music to one of her sisters, whom she said was always quick to put her at the forefront of any music-related activity.
